Management of the Cockburn Ice Arena had confirmation that a fine would be applicable to the person (club) hiring the ice and the venue for a breach of covid protocols. The lawyers also indicated it was also the government’s intention to mandate vaccination for winter sports such as ours.

The maximum penalty for individuals is 12 months imprisonment and a fine of $50,000. While the penalty for a corporation (the club and rinks) is a fine of up to $250,000.
